Hey guys!

This last month has flown by, and I now find myself just 9 weeks out from launch. Much of my focus has been on refining the finer details, and I’m quickly realising the list never truly ends. The key, I’ve learned, lies in prioritising tasks, building systems for time management, and most importantly — regulating emotions. Staying grounded and not allowing feelings to halt progress is a skill I’m actively working on. I often reflect on the way executives, CEOs, and seasoned founders operate in this space, and it’s clear that long-term success in business relies heavily on this ability. Personal development is a journey with no finish line, no matter what level we’re playing at.

Over the past month, I’ve completed two test bakes at the new commercial bakery. I adore this space and feel very grateful to have crossed paths with Quentin, the owner. He specialises in naturally fermented breads and panettone, and also runs in-depth baking classes — it’s an inspiring environment to be a part of.

I’ve been refining my method further — adjusting bake times, temperatures, and making small tweaks to ingredients. I expect to complete one final test bake before launch.

Looking ahead, the next month will be about finalising recipes, preparing stock for the first production day, finishing the website, organising for Christmas campaign content, and pulling together everything required to participate in Melbourne’s weekend markets. I’m beyond excited for this new chapter. Having always been a market visitor, stepping into the role of stallholder feels surreal. My marquee design is currently in the works, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running as soon as we launch.

After 12 months of preparation, I still feel like I could keep refining forever — but the time is near!

Challenge of the Month:
Finding harmony. Between work, business development, life admin, the gym, and carving out time for myself, it’s been a lot. While I love Melbourne, living in the heart of the CBD can sometimes feel like being caught in the rat race. It has me long for the mountains, fresh air, wildlife, and greenery.

Win of the Month:
Connecting with like-minded souls. The deeper I move into the entrepreneurial path, the more I meet people who share a similar outlook on life — ambitious, intentional, creative. These are people who live and move with purpose, innovation, passion, and a refusal to blend in. They inspire me endlessly and truly fill my cup.

This morning (Monday, 1st of September), I’m writing from a café across the road — feeling a little cliché, but happy to be here. I have a session with my business mentor shortly, and I’m looking forward to unpacking everything from the past month.

Take care, my loves.

I hope the month ahead brings you joy, momentum, and your own version of a life that lights your soul.

Until next time,
Kacie xx
